Byrdella DeGriselles, of Montevideo and formerly of Pipestone, died on Sunday, July 4, 1999 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 93.
Memorial services will be conducted on Thursday, July 15, 1999 at 11:30 A.M. at Peace United Methodist Church in Pipestone with Rev. Becky Jo Thilges officiating.
Byrdella Ada (Sweet) DeGriselles was born on December 12, 1905 in Pipestone, MN to William Allison and Euba (Vogt) Sweet. She grew up in Pipestone and attended Pipestone schools. She took normal training in Pipestone and taught rural schools in the Pipestone area for several years. She was united in marriage to Lee DeGriselles on June 28, 1927 in Pipestone. She lived in Pipestone until moving to Montevideo in the fall of 1997. She was currently a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo. While in Pipestone she was a member of Peace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter - Beva Lee Wunderlich of Duluth, MN; 2 sons - Bruce Allison DeGriselles and his wife Marilyn of Colorado and Burdette Valin DeGriselles and his wife Linda of Montevideo; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 sisters - Adelaide Walton of Vancouver, WA and Bonnie Ehlers of Porter, MN as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee in 1975, 3 sisters and an infant brother.
