Carole Rodeberg

July 13, 1931 — January 11, 2015

Carole  Rodeberg, of Montevideo, died on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 83.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Tim Ehling officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Carole Jean (Johnson) Rodeberg was born on July 13, 1931 in St. Paul, MN to Arthur and Marie (Erickson) Johnson.  She attended school in Montevideo.  She was united in marriage to Dick Rodeberg on May 14, 1951 at the Trinity Lutheran Church parsonage in Montevideo.  In addition to raising her two boys, Gary and David, Carole worked with Dick in the printing business as a bookkeeper until retirement.    Carole was involved in women’s circle at church and also spent time crafting with friends.  She made crafts and ornaments for every holiday and occasion a person could think of.  Carole and Dick made bird houses together with Carole doing the painting and shingling of the birdhouses.  Carole enjoyed birdwatching as well.  Carole appreciated the neighborhood they lived in and spent time having coffee with friends in the neighborhood whenever she could.  She looked forward to daily phone conversations with friends and relatives.  Family was the most important thing for Carole.  She enjoyed keeping up with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities and always let them know how special they were and how much she loved them.

Carole is survived by her two sons: Gary (Brenda) Rodeberg of Watson, MN and David (Denise) Rodeberg of Montevideo, MN; nine grandchildren: Brian Rodeberg, Devin Rodeberg and special friend Jimmy Schroeder, Melissa Straw, Katlynn Rodeberg and special friend Ethan Johnson, Garret Rodeberg and special friend Danielle Sweeney, Courtney Sandven and special friend Vince Lam, Whitney Sandven, Leah Rodeberg and fiancé Jordan Lehtola and Skylar (Saue) Rodeberg, ten great-grandchildren: Makaela, Kaili, Bryce, Cora, Alikka, Alexis, Baylee, Elijah, Spencer, Breckon and soon to be baby Schroeder and baby Lam; brother-in-law, Dean Rodeberg; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her parents; a brother, Bob “Sonny” Johnson and a sister, Lorraine “Sis” Nordby.
