Carrie (Walker) Hembre, wife of Martin Hembre, of Detroit Lakes, MN, died on Saturday August 15, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday August 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Donald S. McKee officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Clara “Carrie” Marie (Walker) Hembre was born August 7, 1959 in Muskegon, MI to Fredrick and Barbara (Morton) Walker. She attended school at Creston in Grand Rapids, MI. On March 20, 1979 Carrie married Martin D. Hembre in Wyoming, MI. They lived in Battle Creek, MI, before moving to Minnesota. In Minnesota they lived in Hutchinson, Redwood Falls and Frazee. Martin and Carrie had one child together, Eric Hembre. Carrie enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Carrie is survived by her husband, Martin; her son, Eric (Lesleigh) Hembre of Detroit Lakes, MN; four grandchildren: Piper, Kiersten, Sierra and Lily; and two sisters: Barbara DeVries of Ocala, FL and Carol LaDow of Sand Lake, MI.
Carrie was preceded in death by her parents.
