Charles Wright, of Montevideo, died on Monday November 13, 1995 at the Chippewa Co - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 54.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday November 16, 1995 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Alvin G. Lewis, Jr. and Rev. Timothy Lindhorst officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Thursday. There will be a prayer service at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Charles Wright was born August 28, 1941 in Stark County, OH the son of George and Charlotte (Varner) Wright. He moved to Bird Island, MN in 1956. Charles was united in marriage with Karen Lien December 3, 1960 at Maynard Lutheran Church and they made their home in the Montevideo area. He worked for Fritz Trucking for several years, did road construction for a number of years, and later operated his own truck. He was a volunteer visitor at Luther Haven and enjoyed coffee time at Trailways.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; three daughters: Rommell Hendrickson and her husband Mark of Elk River, MN, Kris Lease and her husband Mike of Brainerd, MN, and Angie Wright of Anoka, MN; three grandsons; two granddaughters; his mother, Charlotte Whittman of Olivia, MN; and three sisters: Kishie McIntosh of Buffalo Lake, MN, Doris Newsome of Strasburg, OH, and Caryn Varner of Olivia, MN.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents; his father, George; and his step-father, Delbert Whittman.
