Charlotte Thompson Miller died on Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at the home of her son Russell Thompson in Montevideo at the age of 79.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 29, 1999 at 1:30 PM at Our Saviours Lutheran Church of Baxter with Rev. Steve Rheingans officiating. Burial will be in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Charlotte Lorraine Siverhus was born on April 25, 1920 in Baxter Township of Lac Qui Parle County, MN to Carl and Minnie (Peterson) Siverhus. She spent her childhood years, attended rural schools and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, all in Baxter township. She was united in marriage to Elmer Thompson on August 4, 1939 in Rock Rapids, IA and to this union were born three children. She also helped raise 5 step-children. They farmed in Baxter Township until his death on December 4, 1981. Following his death she moved to Boyd, MN. On March 19,1983 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Miller at Our Saviours Lutheran of Baxter. They moved to Montevideo in 1988. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, baking crafts, her doll collection and spending time at the lake. She was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church of Baxter and it’s WELCA.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; one daughter, Evon Roe and her husband James of Montevideo; two sons: Eldo Thompson and Russell Thompson and his wife Audrey of Montevideo; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Verna Vierhuf of Minneota, MN; one aunt, Clara Peterson of Montevideo as well as by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer Thompson in 1981; one brother, Arlen Siverhus; one sister, Joean Hofland; one brother-in-law; as well as by several uncles and aunts.
