Chris Allen Ward

Chris Ward, of Montevideo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at his home in Montevideo at the age of 63.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 starting at 5:00 PM at 8077 County Road 15 SW, Montevideo, MN 56265 with a time of sharing starting at 6:00 PM.  The celebration of life will continue at the conclusion of the sharing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Chris Allen Ward was born March 5, 1960 in Great Falls, MT to Bruce and Esther (Wittmier) Ward.  He was united in marriage to Jeanne Neuhart in Montevideo, MN in 1980 and to this union three sons were born.  Chris worked for Friendship Homes for over thirty years.  He always pushed it to the limit, from riding 4-wheeler to his Harley.  Chris also had a great love for his grandchildren, who he teased and spoiled frequently.  He was the best grandpa ever and will be missed dearly by his family and close friends.

Chris is survived by his sons, Jamie Ward of Montevideo, Daniel (Brianna) Ward of Montevideo, and William Ward (significant other, Katie Pollman) of Montevideo; acquired sons, Aron (Jessica) Gilb of Clarkfield and Artie (Willow) Chapa of Prior Lake, MN; grandchildren, Hailee and Kingsley Ward and Vanessa, Marissa and Aubrey Gilb; sisters, Val (Ken) Blommel, Laurie (Phil) Bluhm, Dona Ward and Sandy (Dean) Van Binsbergen; and numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dale Ward.
