Clara A. Lund, formerly of Dawson, died on Saturday, January 10, 1998, at the Holzer Senior Care Center in Gallipolis, Ohio, at the age of 90.
Clara A. Lund was born on June 24, 1907, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Andrew and Celia (Ekman) Selander. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson and attended the New Life Lutheran Church in Gallipolis, Ohio, where she had been a resident since 1983. She was a graduate of the Winona State Teacher's College, a member of the Minnesota Educational Association, and a retired English Teacher in Truman and Dawson, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin D. Lund, on January 2, 1976, whom she married on June 29, 1941, in Minneapolis, MN; three sisters: Florence Selander, Harriet Lindahl, and Alice Culbertson; and one brother, Carl Selander.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Arthur C. and Corrine Lund of Bidwell, Ohio; granddaugher, Rachel Lund of Newark, Ohio; and one brother, Cecil Selander of Renville, MN.
