Clara Mitlyng of Princeton and formerly of Montevideo died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Elim Home in Princeton, MN at the age of 89. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo. Rev. Donald S. McKee will officiate and interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service on Friday. Clara Caroline (Weber) Mitlyng was born February 25, 1920 at Raymond, MN the daughter of Gustav and Olga (Gruhn) Weber. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Clara was united in marriage with Marvin Mitlyng July 24, 1945 at Minneapolis, MN. They made their home in Montevideo. She worked as a cook at Brookside Manor for many years. Clara was a good cook, an avid weather watcher, enjoyed her vegetable garden, and quilting trips. Marvin died April 27, 1994 and she moved to Princeton, MN in 1999. She is survived by four children: Donna (and Lee) Campbell of Princeton, MN, Chuck Mitlyng of Olivia, MN, Dave (and Terry) Mitlyng of Montevideo, MN, and Steve (and Kim) of Watson, MN; thirteen grandchildren: Chad, Heidi, Jay, Jacob, Adam, Luke, Kena, Alyn, Lisa, Klaire, and Joe; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers: Herbert (and Evelyn) Weber of Montevideo, MN and Charlie Weber of Roseberg, OR; and one sister-in-law, Leona Weber of Montevideo, MN. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Marvin; five brothers: Emil, Bennard, Herman, Art, Henry, and William Weber; and one sister, Frieda Weber.
