Clarence Boettcher, 88, of Montevideo and formerly of Minneapolis died November 12, 1999 at the Clara City Care Center.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 15, 1999 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo with visitation for one hour before services at the church. Rev. Douglas Olson and Rev. Lois D. Knutson will officiate.
There will be a visitation Monday evening from 6-8:00 P.M. at the Morris Nilson Funeral Chapel, 6527 Portland Avenue South, in Richfield with the burial on Tuesday at Ft. Snelling.
Clarence Harry Boettcher was born April 11, 1911 at Maynard, MN the son of Harry and Hulda (Nelson) Boettcher. He attended school and grew to adulthood at Worthington and Warba, MN. Clarence served in the US Army during WW II in the field artillery in Italy and France. After his discharge he lived in Minneapolis and worked for Flower City Paper Box Company. He was united in marriage with Ida Kjos July 2, 1960. Clarence moved to Montevideo in the late 1980's. He was a life member of the VFW.
He is survived by one step-daughter, Joyce (Emmitt) O’Neill of Bloomington, MN; two brothers: Darrold (Clarice) Boettcher of Montevideo and Leonard (Adelle) Boettcher of Warba, MN; two sisters: Agnes Gimmestad of Montevideo and Vernes (Wayne) Erickson of Montevideo; and several step-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ida; two step-children: John Green and Leila Bodin; one sister, Isabelle (Rassler) Anderson; and one brother, Frank Boettcher.
