Clarence “Kelly” Moseng, of Montevideo, died on Wednesday, July 19, 2000 at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar at the age of 85.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, July 22, 2000 at 11:00 AM at Our Saviours Lutheran Church of Baxter with Rev. Steve Rheingans officiating. Burial was in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens. Anderson Funeral Home of Montevideo was in charge of funeral arrangements.
Clarence “Kelly” Palmer Moseng was born on April 8, 1915 in Lac qui Parle Co., MN to Ole and Julisa Moseng. He grew up in Lac qui Parle Co. and attended rural schools. He farmed in Lac qui Parle Co for many years, drove truck for AGP in Dawson for several years and worked for Green Thumb in Boyd, MN. On May 22, 1976 he was united in marriage to Frances Garrow in Dawson, MN. They lived in Boyd and Miltona, MN before moving into Montevideo. He was a lifelong member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church of Baxter and enjoyed fishing and traveling when he could.
He is survived by a stepson - Lawrance “Butch” Garman and his wife Marcy of Montevideo; 3 step grandchildren - Ron Dirckx and his wife Cyndi; Mike Dirckx and his wife Jan and Mary Moen and her husband Tom; 6 Great Grandchildren - Samantha, Randi and Ron, Jr. Dirckx and Kayla, Cameron and Jacklyn Moen; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Frances in 1998; 4 brothers - Melvin, Elmer, Gilbert and Jens Moseng and 4 sisters - Hannah Engesmoe, Olga Benson, Mabel Moseng and Grace Jordahl.
