Clarice (Iverson) Storlie

Clarice Storlie, of Montevideo, died peacefully on Friday, February 13, 1998 at the Chippewa Co - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 80.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, February 18, 1998 at 1:30 PM at the Bergen Lutheran Church with Rev. Terry Hagensen officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Clarice (Iverson) Storlie was born on August 23, 1917 in Yellow Medicine County, MN to Halvor and Julia (Flaa) Iverson.  She was baptized and confirmed at Bergen Lutheran Church and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1935.  She was united in marriage to Kenneth Storlie on October 3, 1936.  They resided in Montevideo where Kenneth did carpentry until the early 1960's when they moved to rural Clarkfield, MN and farmed until Kenneth’s death in 1973.  Clarice moved back into their home in Montevideo in 1976 and resided there until her death last Friday.  She was a lifelong member of Bergen Lutheran Church and was active in its women’s groups.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, quilting, needlework and her grandsons.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynette Fultz and her husband Mac of Granite Falls, MN; two grandchildren: Corey Fultz of Montevideo, MN and Erik Fultz of Granite Falls, MN; one great-grandson, Dylan Fultz of Montevideo, MN; one sister-in-law, Kathleen Iverson of Clarkfield, MN;  a number of nieces and nephews; and a faithful companion, her dog Suzy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth in 1973; two sisters: Mildred Strand and Myrtle Mitlyng; and one brother, Harold Iverson.
