Cleo Lenox, 93, of Montevideo died February 14, 1995 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, at 1:30 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church in Montevideo. Rev. Paul Welander will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, after 3:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M.
Cleo May Kohr was born August 6, 1901 in Montevideo, MN the daughter of Frank and Carrie (Morrison) Kohr. She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1920 and from teacher's training in 1921. Cleo taught rural school in Chippewa County for 5 years. She was united in marriage with Theodore Lenox December 18, 1926. To this marriage were born twins on October 24, 1927; Shirley Lenox and a baby boy who died at birth. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a farmer's wife, and had lived on the John Kohr homestead since 1933. Ted died June 26, 1971. She was currently a resident at Luther Haven Nursing Home.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Kalmoe and her husband Chester of Montevideo; two granddaughters: Linda and Ron Lundeen and Bonnie and Bruce Hanson; and four great-grandchildren: Karissa Lundeen, Margo Lundeen, Brian Hanson, and Travis Hanson.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ted; one son in infancy; and one sister, Hazel Brownson.
