Clifford Skogrand

September 7, 1919 — January 22, 1993

Clifford Skogrand, 73, of Montevideo died January 22, 1993 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 26, 1993 at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 1:30 P.M.  Rev. Roger Rekstad will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home Monday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M.  There will also be visitation at the church for 1 hour before services on Tuesday.

Clifford Eugene Skogrand was born September 7, 1919 in Chippewa County, MN the son of Peder and Alma (Gulden) Skogrand.  He attended school and grew to adulthood in Chippewa County.  Clifford was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  He entered the Army November 7, 1941 and was discharged July 6, 1945.  He was united in marriage with Arlene Mischke February 24, 1946 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church.  They made their home in Montevideo and Clifford worked for 45 years for Farmer's Union as a bulk driver and later as the assistant manager.  He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and was a past commander of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; one daughter Jeanne Peterson and her husband Terence of Litchfield, MN; three sons: Ronnie and his wife Sherryl of Apple Valley, MN, William of Boise, IH, and Daniel and his wife Connie of Boise, IH; ten grandchildren: Terri and Jeff Grove, Natalie, Jessica, Stephan, and Hannah Peterson, Joan, Jammie, Dawn, and Ali Skogrand; three sisters: Elvera Raffleson of Montevideo, MN, Vivian Larson and her husband Orice of Montevideo, MN, and Delores Cornelius and her husband Donald of Eden Prairie, MN; and three brothers: Pauly and his wife Leona of Montevideo, MN, Donald and his wife Pat of Montevideo, MN, and Marlow and his wife Mildred of Montevideo, MN.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother Arvid.
