Clifford Teigen, of Montevideo, died on Monday, November 27, 2000 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 92.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, November 30, 2000 at 2:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Watson, MN. Interment was in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
Clifford Olaf Teigen was born on August 3, 1908 in Chippewa County, MN to Adolph and Inga (Iverson) Teigen. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Watson, MN and attended Watson schools and graduated from Milan High School. On October 10, 1942 he was united in marriage to Margaret Meyer in Tacoma, WA. He served in the US Army during World War II, serving in Hawaii and New Guinea. They moved to the Montevideo area following his discharge from the Army. He worked at the Watson Truck Line for a number of years and as a plant operator at Culligan in Montevideo for 11 years before retiring in He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Watson, as well as the VFW and American Legion. He has been a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home since 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sisters: Viola Waldum and Charlotte Solseth of Watson; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Oscar, Donald, Norman and Arnold Teigen; and two sisters: Florence Larson and Alice Olson.
