Conrad Jerve

Conrad Jerve, 85, of Milan, died February 2, 1998 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital.

Funeral services was held Thursday, February 5, 1998 at 1:30 PM at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan.  Rev. Wayne Anderson  officiated and interment was at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.

Conrad Jerve was born May 28, 1912 at Montevideo, MN the son of Carl and Ida (Laumb) Jerve.  He was baptized and confirmed at Jevnaker Lutheran Church and he attended school in District #11.  Conrad was united in marriage with Anna Jane Bratsch at Jevnaker Lutheran Church November 30, 1957.  They farmed in Chippewa County until retiring in 1974.  He served on the call committee and the church council at Jevnaker Lutheran Church and has been a member of Kviteseid Lutheran Church for the past 30 years.  Conrad enjoyed fishing, hunting deer, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; two children: Charles Jerve and his wife Pamela of Litchfield, MN and Jolie Jerve of Nashville, TN; three grandchildren: Braydon, Kendrick, and Kayleigh; and two sisters: Delores Winge of Montevideo, MN and Oma Fairchild of Starbuck, MN.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers: Gilbert and Melvin; and seven sisters: Cora Thompson, Sena Opoien, Idella Thompson, Evelyn Lausen, Amanda Reay, Harriet Moe, and Leona Clark.
