Corinne Schaller, of Maynard, died on Friday, December 25, 2009 at the Mt Vista Hospital & Medical Center in Mesa, AZ at the age of 80. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Maynard Presbyterian Church in Maynard with Rev. Beverly Crute officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo. Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening with the family present from 3:30 - 5:30 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo Corinne Gertrude (Himle) Schaller was born on October 30, 1929 in Chippewa Co., MN to Bertyl and Mamie (Kuiper) Himle. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1947. On March 9, 1973 she was united in marriage to Odell Schaller at the Maynard Presbyterian Church. She lived most of her lifetime in the Montevideo and Maynard areas. She was a long-time member of the Maynard Presbyterian Church and was the church treasurer for many years. She was an active member and officer for Avion MN Travelcade Club and was also a member of the Shriner's Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes, flower gardening, cooking, being outdoors, traveling and camping in their R.V., working on her computer and playing cards and games with friends and family. They have also enjoyed wintering in Arizona the past fifteen years. She is survived by her husband, Odell; two daughters: Marsha (and Ronald) Albertson and Cheryl Monson, both of Montevideo; five grandchildren: Ryan Albertson, Nicole (and Brian) Baker, Tasha (and Greg) Frey, Dustin (and Courtney) Albertson and Joshua Monson; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Lauren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
