Coyla "Dolly" Day died on Tuesday December 17, 1996 at her home in Montevideo at the age of 76.
Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, December 23, 1996 at 1:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Lois Knutson officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Coyla Helma "Dolly" (Skogrand) Day was born on July 20, 1920 to Peter and Helma (Grunstad) Skogrand in West Bank Township of Swift County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Big Bend Lutheran Church and attended rural schools. She was united in marriage to Lynden Day in 1962 in South Dakota. She enjoyed sewing and bingo.
She is survived by one son, Warren Moen of Los Angeles, CA; three daughters: Carol Smith of Brainerd, MN, Sandra Quigley and her husband Douglas of Montevideo, and Betty Reiter and her husband Keith of St. Paul, MN; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Skogrand and his wife Minnie of Montevideo; and two sisters: Idella Ontiveras and her husband Randy and Verona Foster all living in California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lyndon "Razzie" Day in 1995; one grandson, Dwight Quigley; three brothers: John, Luther and Everett Skogrand; and one sister, Lucille Cramlet.
