Dagny Gunderson, 82, of Burnsville, MN and formerly of Milan died September 6, 1996 at the Ebenezer Ridges Care Center in Burnsville.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 11:00 A.M. at Big Bend Lutheran Church. Rev. Kathryn Rothman will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with the family present after 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before services on Tuesday.
Dagny Helena Goulson was born January 30, 1914 in Swift County, MN the daughter of Adolph and Hannah (Hanson) Goulson. She attended school and grew to adulthood in Chippewa County and she was baptized and confirmed at Big Bend Lutheran Church. Dagny was united in marriage with Orville Gunderson November 12, 1933 at the Big Bend Parsonage. They farmed in West Bank Township before moving into Milan in 1963. She worked as a cook at the Montevideo Hospital from 1964-1971. Orville died January 20, 1971. She moved to Ebenezer Ridges Care Center in Burnsville in 1987.
She is survived by two sons: Burton and his wife Susan of Eagan, MN and Donald and his wife Pat of Duluth, MN; one daughter, Mary Fettig and her husband Al of Burnsville, MN; eleven grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Clarice Goulson and Elna Goulson both of Montevideo, MN; three brothers: Theodore and Stella Goulson of Montevideo, MN, Elken and Jean Goulson of Granada, and Roger and Jeanne Goulson of Decorah, IA; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Orville; one granddaughter, Sara Fettig; three brothers: Vernon, Gerald, and Rolf Goulson; and one sister, Alvina Kleven.
