Dagny Schultz, 89, of Montevideo, died January 19, 1994 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Alvin G. Lewis, Jr. will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Saturday. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Dagny H Haakenson was born March 11, 1904 at Boyd, MN the daughter of Hans and Syverina (Johanson) Haakenson. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. Dagny attended rural school near Boyd and later a business school in Sioux Falls, SD. She was united in marriage with Clayton Schultz October 8, 1930 at Montevideo. They made their home in Montevideo. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo where she was active with the church women and a member of the Ruth Circle. Clayton died December 18, 1993.
She is survived by one daughter: Virginia Stehlik and her husband Stan of Jackson, MN; two sons: LaVere "Bud" Schultz and his wife Jan of Montevideo, MN and Donald Schultz of Sheldon, IA; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Julia Danielson of Starbuck, MN and Helma Noyes of Montevideo, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clayton; one brother, Edwin Haakenson; and three sisters: Agnes De Yapp, Mabel Olson, and Selma Korstad.
