Dale Bourne, formerly of Montevideo, died Friday, April 1, 2016 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND at the age of 66.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with Vicar Linda Estling officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Dale Henry Bourne was born on March 2, 1950 in Montevideo to Henry and Joy (Paulsrud) Bourne. He grew up in Montevideo area and attended school in Montevideo. He graduated from Montevideo High School in 1968. Following high school he attended Moorhead State University. He entered the US Navy in 1971 and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1975.
Dale married LaVonne Broberg in 1984. They had one son, Patrick. They made their home in Montevideo and Willmar. Dale worked in Computer Systems and was part of inventory control for Red Ball in Benson and Jennie-O in Willmar. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, martial arts and guns. He also spent time and had a passion for training and breeding dogs.
Dale is survived by his son, Patrick (Marie) Bourne of St. Cloud, step-children: Erik (Amanda) Pehrson of Pennock, and Heidi Pehrson of Willmar; his former wife, LaVonne Bourne of Willmar; siblings, Eileen (Tom) Grosland of Grand Rapids, MN, Mark (Marilyn) Bourne of Dawson, MN and Dean (Beth) Bourne of Montevideo, MN; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Joy Bourne.
