Daniel Novy, of Dawson, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at his home in Dawson, MN.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23 at 1:30 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. Rev. Kendall Stelter will officate and interment will be at the Milbank City Cemetery in Milbank at 3:30 PM on Tuesday.
Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the services.
Daniel Lee Novy was born August 1, 1973 at Milbank, SD the son of Alfred and Beverly (Skaarer) Novy. He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Labolt, SD and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Revillo, SD. He graduated from Grant - Deuel High School in 1991 and later served in the US Army. Dan moved to Clarkfield and then to Montevideo while he worked at Friendship Homes. He moved to Dawson in 2005 and worked at the Appleton Prison and Christianson Farms. He later obtained his CDL license. Dan enjoyed being with his family, fishing, grilling, and playing poker.
He is survived by his fiance', Stacey Anspach; two children: Christina and Dylan; step-son, Brady; three brothers: Marty (Kathy) Novy of Revillo, SD, Brad (Wanda) Novy of Revillo, SD, and Scott Novy of Tucumcari, NM; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
