Danny Larson

Danny Larson passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at his home in Watson at the age 67.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Watson.  Pastor Barry Brace will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25 from 5 - 7:00 PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.  There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before the service.

Danny Lawrence Larson was born April 12, 1951 in Montevideo, MN the son of Lawrence and Florence (Teigen) Larson and they lived in Watson.  He was the 9th of 11 children in his family.  Danny was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church.  After his mother’s death, the family moved to Minneapolis where he graduated from high school in 1969.  He worked in road construction, water and sewer construction, as a truck driver, a farmer, and also a bartender.  He was united in marriage with Lorraine Solseth in June of 1981.  They had 37 wonderful years together and enjoyed gardening and canning in the fall.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter and trapper.  Danny was a “legend” in his time as a fisherman.  For many years, if Danny wasn’t working he was fishing.  When you called him on the phone he would answer it by saying “talk to me” and then he would chuckle.  He enjoyed the farmer’s market and he had a special place in his heart for his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; daughter, Jennifer Larson of Clara City; three brothers: LaVerne Larson of Kellogg, MN, Wallace (Audrey) Larson of Roseville, MN and Leon (Patsy) Larson of Oshkosh, WI; two sisters: Ardelle (Helge) Lamo of Minneapolis, MN and Arlyce Mahlberg of Watson; sisters-in-law: Pat Larson of Coon Rapids, MN and Marge Larson of Mound, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his father, Lawrence; his mother, Florence; his step-mother, Jeanette; four brothers: Allan, Delane, Dean and Gary; a sister, Arlene (Albert) Kashmark; sister-in-law, Connie Larson; and brother-in-law, Arthur Mahlberg.
