David A. Thompson

David A. Thompson of Milan, died Thursday, June 21, 2018, at  Appleton Area Health Services in Appleton, at the age of 75.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday July 26, 2018 from 5-7PM with a prayer service at 6:30PM at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan, MN.  Burial with military honors will take place on Friday, July 27, at 12:45PM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

David Alan Thompson was born to George and Leona Thompson in Cambridge, MN on June 20, 1943.  He graduated from Milan, MN in 1963 and soon after joined the United States Air Force.  After completing his military service David worked in the Minneapolis and Bloomington, MN areas for many years.  In the late 1990's he moved back to Milan to assist in the care of his aging mother.  While living there he worked at George’s Food and Fuel in Montevideo.  He passed away after a long illness on 6/21/2018 at the Appleton, MN Hospital.

David is survived by brothers: Gary (Jan) Thompson, Luttrell, TN, Robert (Luana) Thompson , Rosemount, MN, Jon (Cindy) Thompson, Faribault, MN, Micheal (Nancy) Thompson, Beaverton, OR, and Gregg (Laurie) Thompson, Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law: Joyce Starr, Santa Maria, CA, son, Shawn and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by daughter Sarah; parents, George and Leona Thompson; brothers, Victor Thompson, Bill Starr, and Delwyn Thompson; sisters-in-law, Suzie Thompson and Helen Thompson.
