Delores Tiffany, of Montevideo, died on Saturday, June 19, 1999 at her home in Montevideo at the age of 64.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 22, 1999 at 11:00 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Douglas Olson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Delores Marcella (Lupinek) Tiffany was born on October 26, 1934 in Grant County, South Dakota to Arthur and Elvie (Thelin) Lupinek. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church in Edgeley, ND. She graduated from Summit High School and attended Northern State Teachers College. On January 31, 1953 she was united in marriage to Elmer Tiffany at the Methodist Parsonage in Summit, SD. They lived in Twin Brooks, SD, Ortley, SD, Peever, SD, Bath, SD and Edgeley, ND before moving to Montevideo, MN in 1970. She was a member of Our Redeemers Lutheran Ladies Aid in Edgeley, ND, was a parish secretary at Watson Lutheran Church in Watson, MN and was a Sunday School teacher at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo, where she was currently a member. She loved country music, decorating her home and watching home and garden shows when she became limited in moving around. She collected dolls, plates, bells, and loved all kinds of crafts, especially crocheting. She enjoyed plants and had over 100 African violets. When she was younger she enjoyed dancing and bowling and taught school for a while.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer; two sons: Randy Tiffany and his wife Rita of Pennock, MN and Terry Tiffany of St. Cloud, MN; two daughters: Laurie Olson and her husband Loren of Pennock, MN and Sandra Tiffany and her husband David Barnish of Maple Grove, MN; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her mother, Elvie Lupinek of Watertown, SD; two brothers: Keith Lupinek of South Shore, SD and Jim Lupinek and his wife Penny of Olympia, WA; three sisters: Janice Hubbartt of Watertown, SD, Judy Gapp and her husband Orlyn of South Shore, SD and Pamela Krause and her husband David of Bemis, SD; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Lupinek.
