Deloris Barrett

Deloris Barrett died Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at her home in Dawson at the age of 88.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 1-2:00 PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.

A private memorial service service will be held later.

Deloris Mae Barrett was born March 8, 1931 to Clinton and Gladys (Perkins) Barrett.  She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Church in November 1956 by Rev. Robert Ottersted.

She helped her parents on the farm.  She also worked with her sister Bea Ritland at the Legion and Bea’s Café.  She and her parents moved to Dawson in 1960.  There she worked for 33 years as produce manager at the local grocery store.  She helped care for her mother for 4 ½ years while she was on home dialysis.

Deloris enjoyed reading, embroidering, working jigsaw puzzles, going on walks and collecting teddy bears.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Ben Pearson; sister and brother-in-law, Bea and Henry Ritland; brother and sister-in-law, Darrel and Gloria Graven; and sister and brother-in-law, Lavonne and Elmer Dahl.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
