Deloris Johnson, of Montevideo, died on Tuesday May 21, 1996 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 71.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday May 24, 1996 at 1:30 P.M. at the Big Bend Lutheran Church with Rev. Kathryn Rothman officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and for one hour prior to services at the church.
Deloris Juneve Johnson was born December 15, 1924 at Milan, MN the daughter of Carolus and Clara (Hildahl) Johnson. She was baptized and confirmed at Big Bend Lutheran Church and she graduated from Milan High School in 1942. Deloris lived in Minneapolis for a short time before moving to Colorado and later to California for many years. She worked as a secretary for an insurance company before her retirement. After retiring, Deloris lived in Nevada before moving to Montevideo this past July.
She is survived by one brother, Kenelm Johnson and his wife Irma of Carson City, NV; one sister, Shirley Ervin and her husband Howard of Maynard, MN; one sister-in-law, Phemie Johnson of Appleton, MN; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Carolus and Clara Johnson and one brother, Harvey Johnson.
