Dennis Enevoldsen, of Montevideo, died on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Chippewa Co-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 66. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Christopher Lieske officiating. Interment will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening with the family present from 5 - 7 P.M. and with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Dennis Fredrick Enevoldsen was born on April 24, 1944 in Montevideo, MN to Palmer and Viola (Perske) Enevoldsen. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School. He served in the Minnesota National Guard. On November 26, 1966 he was united in marriage to Diane Sandager in Clarkfield, MN. He farmed for many years in Camp Release Township of Lac qui Parle County before having to retire for health reasons. He was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and had served on the Board of Lay Ministry and Board of Property. He served on the Luther Haven Board and nominating committee, was a member of the Fiesta City Barber Shop Chorus and most recently the Chord Ayres. He enjoyed raising cattle, liked antique tractors and cars and enjoyed visiting with People. He is survived by his wife, Diane; children: Darcy (and Dave) Curry of Brooklyn Park, MN and Dion Enevoldsen of Montevideo; a granddaughter, Melanie Curry; a brother, Paul (and KeEtta) Enevoldsen of Montevideoa sister, Leota (and Ken) Rich of Inver Grove Heights, MN; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
