Dennis Rorvig, of Montevideo, died Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Clarkfield Care Center in Clarkfield at the age of 72.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with visitation for 1 hour before the service. Rev. Matt Philaya will officiate and interment is in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Dennis Craig Rorvig was born July 11, 1942 in Morris, MN the son of Norval and Pearl (Olson) Rorvig. He was baptized at Pike Lake Lutheran Church at Kensington, MN. He grew up in the Kensington area and then moved to rural Montevideo. Dennis was a truck driver for Bituminous Paving for over 20 years. On April 5, 1991, he married Pauline Quigley at Clear Lake, SD. They made their home in Montevideo. Pauline died March 21, 2012. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding and dancing.
He is survived by children: Dennis Pearson, Jr. of Antigo, WI, Lorraine (Don) Newberry of Wausau, WI, Annette (Gary) Roder of Clarkfield, MN, and Brenda (Gene) Helmer of Wausau, WI; seven grandchildren: Donald Pearson, Kayla Pearson, Kacey Newberry, Taylor Roder, Kirsten Roder (Dalton Wendler) , Natasha Helmer, and Austin Helmer; one great-granddaughter, Peyton Pauline; two brothers: Marlin Rorvig of Madison, MN and Ardeen Rorvig of Boyd, MN; a sister, DeVonna Odegard of Montevideo, MN; mother-in-law, Inez Quigley of Sunburg, MN; a sister-in-law, Debbie Rorvig of Willmar, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Pauline; and two brothers: Sheldon and Lennoy.
