Derrek Schutte, 18, of Dawson died March 19, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 24, 1999 at 10:30 A. M. at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. Rev. Stacey Wells, Rev. Wayne Shelton, and Rev. John Norland will officiate and interment will be at Dawson Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson with the family present from 6-8:00 P.M.
Derrek Eugene Schutte was born August 10, 1980 at Dawson, MN the son of Daryl and Rebecca (Loe) Schutte. He was baptized and confirmed at the Presbyterian Church in Dawson. Derrek was currently a senior at Dawson-Boyd High School. He was interested in computers, cars, and model rockets. Derrek also enjoyed science.
He is survived by his parents, Daryl and Rebecca; two sisters: Samantha and Priscilla; one brother, Kyle; grandparents: Vida Schutte, Selma and Vernon Ness, and Hollis and Bernice Loe; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents: Catherine Loe and Milton Schutte and one uncle, Linnae Ness.
