Dick Ellis Rosenberg was born February 25, 1927 to Carl and Hazel Rosenberg of Milltown, WI. Dick grew up in Milltown, WI and graduated from Milltown High School in 1944. He married his wife, Charlotte on June 22, 1951, and they were blessed with 61 years of marriage until her passing in 2012.  Dick was a WWII vet in his younger years and served in Monterey, CA and in Ft. Lewis, Washington. He worked as a medic and helped soldiers returning from the war.

Dick accepted Christ into his life as his personal Savior on November 15, 1961 and his life was totally changed. He had a new focus in Jesus, and lived his life to please his Savior. He was very active in his church and served as a deacon, song leader and choir director.  Dick was a car sales manager in St. Croix Falls, WI for many years, and then moved to Erie, PA. He loved his church there as well. When he retired, he and his wife Charlotte moved to a small ranch for troubled teens in New York. Dick was happy to have found a new way to serve Jesus there. When his health began to fail, he moved to Montevideo, MN and lived close to his daughter Cindy.  After Charlotte's passing, God brought Margaret Hawkinson into his life. They were married in 2014, and lived happily together at Luther Haven in Montevideo.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Margaret, his brother Joe Rosenberg (Rose), his daughters: Vickie Peterson (Roger), Wendy Rodke, Kathy Michaels (Robert), Cindy Johnson (Steve), Susan Stauffer (Doug), and his stepchildren: Marty Hawkinson, Karen Winters, and Eileen Leasure. He leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Hazel; his first wife, Charlotte; and his son-in-law, Walter Rodke.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. ~Ps. 116:15”
