Doloris A. (Ruud) Benci

Committal services will be conducted for Doloris (Ruud) Hocum Benci and George Benci on Saturday, December 11, 2004, with a time of fellowship with the family from 10 - 10:30 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with the committal services to be conducted at 10:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.

Doloris A. Ruud was born on December 9, 1918 in Montevideo, MN to A. Nordall and Hilma C. (Overlie) Ruud.  She grew up in Montevideo, attending Sibley School and graduating from Montevideo High School in 1938.  She became a telephone operator in Montevideo following graduation and later moved to Minneapolis, where she became a long distance supervisor for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. She was united in marriage to Ellsworth Hocum, who preceded her in death.  She was later united in marriage to George Benci.  Doloris died on May 12, 2002 in Lake Havasu, AZ.  She is survived by sons: Bruce (Sandy) Hocum of Minneapolis, MN and Robert (Sheryl) Hocum of Alexandria, MN; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a sister, Wanda Mae Otterholt of Huachuca, AZ.

George Benci was born on April 13, 1917 in Cambridge, OH to Fred & Martha Yurkovich. George died on November 12, 2004 in Elko, MN.  He is survived by a son, Wayne (Fran Roberts) Benci of Elko, MN; 2 daughters: Brenda (Carl) Leonard of Royalton, OH and Sandra (Jeff) Boss of Owatanna, MN; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a brother Charlie Benci of Cleveland, OH.
