Donald Witte

Donald Witte, of Appleton, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Appleton Area Health at the age of 83.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Anderson – TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Donald L. Witte was born on January 15, 1941, in Appleton, Minnesota, to August and Carrie (Monson) Witte. He was baptized and confirmed at Correl Lutheran Church. For much of his life, Don worked on local farms in the Appleton area. He had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly spear fishing and deer hunting. At home, Don took pride tending to the chores, finding satisfaction in the simple, everyday tasks. He also cherished meaningful conversations and spent many hours connecting with others.

He is survived by his sisters, Donna Witte of Appleton and Marlene Olson of Becker; sister-in-law, Miriam Witte of New Hope; and numerous nieces nephews extended family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dean Witte, Alfred Witte and August Witte, Jr.; sisters, Carol Gulden and Deanna Hodge; and brothers-in-law, Lewis Olson and Orville Gulden.
