Donna Anderson, of rural Montevideo, died Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 79.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM at the church and continue until the time of the service.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan. Rev. Kristine Isder and Mike Harrison will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Donna Mae (Struxness) Anderson was born October 3, 1936 at Milan, MN the daughter of Andrew and Bernice (Sandven) Struxness. She was baptized and confirmed at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan. Donna graduated from Milan High School in 1955. She was united in marriage with Elwood Anderson November 10, 1956 at Big Bend Lutheran Church. They made their home and farmed in Lac qui Parle Township. They enjoyed spending the winters in Scottsdale, AZ. Elwood died February 18, 2010. Donna was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and volunteered at Historic Chippewa City in Montevideo.
She is survived by three children: Lee (and Tracie) Anderson of Prairie du Sac, WI, Lonnie (and Renee’) Anderson of Jerome, AZ, and Lori Anderson of Minnetonka, MN; four grandchildren: Tom, Jordan, Calvin and Trent; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Elwood; and two sisters: Joan Voorhees and Arlys Struxness.
