Donna Mae (Fremo) Moe

Donna Moe, of Montevideo, passed away on August 31, 2023 at her home in Montevideo at the age of 77.

Memorial services will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  Pastor Matt Danielson will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service at 6:30 PM.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, on the request of Donna, memorials are preferred to Carris Health Rice Hospice at CCM Health in Montevideo and also the Lung Association.

Donna Mae Fremo was born July 7, 1946 in Montevideo, MN to Melvin and Mabel (Hull) Fremo.  She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Baxter.  Donna attended and graduated Dawson High School in 1964.  She was united in marriage to Glen Moe on February 17, 1968 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Baxter and to this union two children were born.  Donna and Glen made their home in Montevideo, where Donna worked for Montevideo American News for over 20 years.  She also ran her own cleaning business for a number of years.  Cleaning and organizing came naturally to her.

Donna was a member of Salem Lutheran Church where she served on the Alter Guild, she was proudly involved with many other church activities.  Donna had a great love for anything outdoors.  She enjoyed gardening and watching hummingbirds in her backyard.  She especially liked playing card games, checkers, and bean bags with her granddaughter, Sammy.  One of Donna’s most cherished relationships was with her sister, Sharon.  They shared many special times together.  Her family was her greatest joy and source of pride, she always put them first.  Donna took many fun trips over the years, including Hawaii, Alaska, Arizona, and California.  She appreciated summer getaways with family and being by the water. She was also fond of her grandpuppy Cruser, who she adored.  It brought Donna great joy to serve others and her faith in the Lord was strong.  She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and gratefulness.

Donna is survived by her husband, Glen; children, Dan (Georgette) Moe of Maple Grove, MN and Amy (Ryan) Walsh of Tonka Bay, MN; granddaughter, Sammy Walsh; sister, Sharon (Doug) Hovind of Zimmerman, MN, and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Mabel Fremo. Brother, Dennis Fremo and infant twin Sister, Diane Kay Fremo.
