Donna Pearson passed away peacefully on February 2, 2005 at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago. After graduating from the Montevideo High School, she moved to NYC to follow her dream . . . acting. Her life was a full one, filled with passion and joy. She lived the majority of her life with Francis Bethencourt, a Baron who left Spain to become a film and stage actor. They lived in Manhattan and summered in upstate NY at their cottage they lovingly called ‘Ramshackle’. Donna also enjoyed a successful career on and off Broadway, co-starring with Eve Arden, George Montgomery and Julie Wilson to name a few. Later, becoming the Treasurer of the Helen Hayes Theatre in NYC. Donna loved her family and would do anything for them; her generosity and kindness never went unappreciated. Donna moved to Chicago in 2001 and lived at the Alzheimer’s unit at the United Methodist Home so she could be near her niece, Alishja. In Heaven, Donna joins her siblings: Beata, Sig, and Anthony, her beloved mother and father, and the love of her life, Francis. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Roma; her nieces: Maria, Alishja, and Genny; and one nephew, Mark who were with her when she passed away.
