Doris Henning died peacefully Thursday January 13, 2022 at her home in Montevideo at the age of 85.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Montevideo. Rev. Kent Borglum will officiate and interment will be at Ludington Township Cemetery near Fall Creek, WI next spring.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-7:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before the service.
Doris Ann (Steinke) Henning was born June 24, 1936 in Ludington Township, Eau Claire County, WI the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Rabideaux) Steinke. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Doris graduated from Augusta High School. She was united in marriage with Lyle Henning October 3, 1953 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church near Cleghorn, WI. Doris was a homemaker and nurses aid. She was a volunteer care giver to many. Doris was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Montevideo.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lyle; seven children: Lorraine (Brad) Rasmussen of Montevideo, Susan (Scott) Flowers of Topeka, KS, JoAnn (Terry) Hirsch of Sioux Falls, SD, Gregory (Monica) Henning of Anchorage, AK, Deborah (Bob) Seeger of Fairbanks, AK, Richard (Brenda) Henning of Anchorage, AK, and Michael (Traci) Henning of Appleton, WI; twenty grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Joan Steinke of Chandler, AZ.
Preceding her in death were her parents; an infant son, Randall; an infant great-granddaughter, Keely; and a brother, Dick Steinke.
Memorials are preferred to the St. John's Ladies Aid or the National Parkinson's Foundation.
