Earl Gene Norman

Earl Norman, Montevideo, died on Friday, April 8, 2022 at his home at the age of 78.

Memorial graveside services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.  Family and friends are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for the service.

Earl Norman was born on June 26, 1943 in Montevideo to Lyle and Ruth (Swenson) Norman.  He was baptized into the Christian faith.  Earl graduated from Montevideo High School in 1961.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served 4 years.  After his honorable discharge he returned to Montevideo.  Earl worked at various jobs in and around Montevideo.

He enjoyed reading books, fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling.  He liked driving around looking at the lakes, farm fields and watching wildlife.  Earl also would spend time visiting with friends at various restaurants in the area.

Earl is survived by his siblings: Wilbur (Carol) Norman, Park Rapids, MN, MaryLou Johnston, Houma, LA, Barbara (Verlyn) King, Granite Falls, MN; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Garry Norman; and brother-in-law Jerald Johnston.
