Eileen Stavne

September 24, 1920 — December 14, 2012

Eileen Stavne, of Maynard, died on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Continuing Care Center in Grantsburg, WI at the age of 92. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Maynard Lutheran Church with Rev. Kathy Skoglund officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

Eileen Amy (Johnson) Stavne was born on September 24, 1920 in Sacred Heart, MN to Nelvin and Alma (Dybsand) Johnson. In 1941 she was united in marriage to Gordon Pearson, who died in 1944 during World War II in the Phillippines. On October 7, 1954 she was united in marriage to Otis Stavne. She lived in Maynard for most of her life and raised her three boys there. She was a long-time member of Maynard Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Maynard. She loved her family, especially her three boys. She enjoyed spending her time making lefse, baking, cooking, canning, camping, fishing, spending time with her other grandkids - the dogs, and riding around town in her golf cart.

Eileen is survived by sons: Paul (and Kris) Stavne of Grantsburg, WI and Pete (and Sue) Stavne of Maynard, MN; eight grandchildren: Gordy (and Alyssa), Jimmer, Becky, Jeremiah, Lauren, Erin, Shane and Christal; three great grandchildren: Tayeb, Corbin and Amelia, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Gordon Pearson in 1944 and Otis Stavne in 1988; a son, James Pearson and a daughter-in-law, Darlene Pearson
