Elaine H. Larson

Elaine Larson, of Boyd, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson at the age of 81.

A private family service will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2020 with a live streaming of all services available on Elaine's obituary page at 2:00 PM.  Services will be videotaped and placed on our website the following day (May 14) as well.

Arrangements are with Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.

Elaine Harriet Edblad was born July 26, 1938 in Duluth, MN to Walter and Allison (Creasey) Edblad.  She loved her family dearly and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.  Holidays were important to her and when someone from her family did not make it, she would let them know.  When her family got together, she adored playing Skip-bo, Buck Euchre, and Yahtzee. She cherished her time spent in her garden and scooting around Boyd in her golf cart.  Elaine would take trips often to the lake, and Duluth, and it usually was to be in the company of her family.

She is survived by her son, Jerry (Brenda) Gruwell, of Dawson; daughter Debra Clausen (Bob Moore), of Watson; grandchildren, Matt (Geri) Gruwell, Nick (Kristi) Gruwell, Gerad (Jamie) Clausen, Brandon (Steph) Clausen, and Casey (Hillary) Clausen; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Platzer and Beverly Walstrom; grandson-in-law, Jonathon DenHartigh; and numerous friends and family.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alan; son-in-law, Michael Clausen; granddaughter, Michelle DenHartigh; great-grandson, Lucas Clausen; sister, Helen Holmquist; and a brother, Ronald Edblad.
