Eleanor Clara Dehne was born April 15, 1908, in Dawson, MN, to Elmer and Carrie (Neraasen) Nash. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended the Dawson Public Schools. In Dawson on April 28, 1939, she was united in marriage to Benjamin C. Dehne. They lived on a farm north of Dawson until they moved into Dawson. Ben died suddenly on January 25, 1972. Eleanor remained in her home until three years ago when she fell and broke her hip. She moved to the Madison Lutheran Home and on April 16, 1999, moved into the Johnson Memorial Home where she died on Friday, August 13, 1999, at the age of 91.
She was very active member of the Nazarene Church where she was a steward, served as President of the Women's Ministry, and was also a member of the ThreeStar Prayer Band. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking. She always enjoyed 'coffee times' with family and friends. She always had a positive attitude, was quiet and humble, and was a great believer in prayer.
Eleanor is survived by nieces and nephews, other family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by his parents; husband, Ben; 2 brothers: Roy and Wallace Nash; and 2 sisters: Edna Stamson and Luverne Hoff.
