Eleanor Klefstad, 91, of Watson, MN died January 3, 1993 at the Madison Lutheran Home in Madison, MN.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 1993 at 1:30 P.M. at the Watson Lutheran Church. Rev. Robert Rendahl will officiate and burial will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services.
Eleanor Sophia Torgerson was born April 29, 1901 in Chippewa County, MN the daughter of the late John and Mary (Golie) Torgerson. She grew to adulthood near Watson and attended rural School Dist. #19. She was united in marriage with Harris Klefstad April 10, 1929 at Watson. They made their home at Watson for several years before moving to Bath, SD and later to Ortonville, MN. They returned to Watson and Eleanor moved to the Madison Lutheran Home in March of 1989.
She is survived by her husband, Harris; two daughters: Mary Ann Torgerson and her husband John of Coon Rapids, MN and Gloria Haug and her husband Clyde of Manhattan Beach, CA; one son Lloyd and his wife Mariette of Manhattan Beach, CA; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother Joseph Torgerson of Isle, MN; and one sister Mabel Hagenstad of Minneapolis, MN.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one grandson Jack Torgerson; two sisters: Pearl Canton and Hazel Haug; and three brothers: Roy, Lester, and Ernest.
