Elizabeth Ann Fjoseide

Elizabeth Fjoseide passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at  Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson at the age of 89.

Funeral  services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Johnson Memorial Care Center Chapel.  Rev. Kendall Stelter will officiate and interment will be at Grace Lutheran Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home of Dawson.

Elizabeth Ann (Perkins) Fjoseide was born September 7, 1929 in Riverside Township, Lac qui Parle County, MN the daughter of Terry and Jessie (Nelson) Perkins.  She was baptized and confirmed at Riverside Lutheran Church in Dawson.  Betty graduated from Dawson High School in 1947 and from St. Cloud Teachers College in 1949.  She was united in marriage with John Fjoseide on June 29, 1952.  John and Betty were blessed with two children: Barbara and Larry.  They lived on the farm south of Dawson before moving into town in 1976.  Betty was an elementary school teacher in Appleton for 2 years and in Dawson for over 25 years.  She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of Mary Circle and Ladies Aid.  Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, scrapbooking, genealogy and doing jigsaw puzzles.  They celebrated their Golden Wedding in June of 2002.  John died July 9, 2005.  Betty continued to live at home until she moved to the Johnson Memorial Care Center in 2017.

She is survived by two children: Barbara (Richard) Mork of Blaine, MN and Larry (Ingrid) Fjoseide of Dawson, MN; two grandchildren: Laura Fjoseide and Wayne Fjoseide; two step-grandchildren: Andy (Beth) Mork and Monica (Jeff) Boser; six step-great-grandchildren: Anders, Neenah, Violet and Gil Soo Mork and Megan and Andrew Boser; and other family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, John.
