Elizabeth Jurgenson

Elizabeth “Liz” Jurgenson, of Montevideo, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at her home in Montevideo at the age of 76.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter.  Rev. Willie Rosin will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo from 5-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00.

Elizabeth was born to Oscar and Edna Anderson in Montevideo on October 4, 1938.  She was baptized on that same day at the hospital and was confirmed at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter in 1952.  She attended school and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1956.  She was united in marriage to Richard Jurgenson on April 4, 1959 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter.  They made their home on the farm where she worked with her husband.  They had four sons and her greatest joy was raising her family.  They moved to Clarkfield in 1990 and to Montevideo in 2002.

Elizabeth was an accomplished bowler, a good golfer, and loved to dance and sing.  She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending all of her children and grandchildren’s activities.  She also loved spending her weekends in the summer at their trailer on Maple Lake.   She was a very active member at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of Montevideo, MN, four sons: Reid (Deb) of Dawson, MN, Ross (Cindy) of Boyd, MN, Ryan (Stacy) of Hutchinson, MN and Randy (Nancy) of Hutchinson, MN, 17 grandchildren: Josh (Tanya), Heather (Derek), Katie (Adam), Ty, Alissa (fiancee Cody), Cameron (Kirsten), Kelsey, Nicole, Niki (Taylor), Kristofer, Courtney, Mallori (fiancee Dan), Brittany (Corbin), Taylor, Cassie, John and Devin; 6 great-grandchildren; Avari, London, Eva, Boden, Hadley and Easton; two sisters: Waunita (Floyd) Kanten of Milan, MN and Ramona (Keith) Erickson of Montevideo, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Anderson.
