Ella Morlock, formerly of Grace Township in Chippewa Co, died on Monday September 23, 1996 at the Clara City Nursing Home at the age of 82.
Mass of Christian Burial was conducted on Friday September 27, 1996 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson, MN. with Fr. Ronald Huberty the officiant. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Ella Elizabeth (Huggett) Morlock was born on May 27, 1914 in Day Co., SD to Thomas and Susan (Linder) Huggett. She grew up in Day Co. and attended school in Roselyn, SD. On October 20, 1942 she was united in marriage to George Morlock at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Montevideo. They farmed for many years in Grace Township in Chippewa Co. Following retirement, they lived in Benson, MN for a couple of years before entering the Clara City Nursing Home in 1988. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson.
Ella is survived by a daughter - Marion Payne and her husband Doug of Edina, MN; a son - Merle of Minneapolis; grandchildren - Gioia Peters of Minneapolis; Lane Morlock of St. Paul, MN; and Wade Morlock of Marysville, WA; 3 great grandchildren; sisters - Betty Walton of Minneapolis, MN; Stella Hauge of Roslyn, SD; and Violet Weeden of Colorado; a brother - Burton Huggett of Cavalier, ND; as well as by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George in 1988; brothers - George, Henry, Clarence, Thomas Jr. and Robert Huggett; and by a sister - Gladys Weeden.
