Ella Clara (Wohlschlager) Norman

Ella Norman died Monday, November 28, 2005 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 93.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  Rev. Ronald Hobbie will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday afternoon and evening and with the family from 4:30 - 6:30 PM at Anderson Funeral Home.

Ella Clara (Wohlschlager) Norman was born March 31, 1912 in Grace Township, Chippewa County, MN the daughter of Reinhold and Clara (Erdner) Wohlschlager.  She was baptized and later confirmed at Havelock Lutheran Church.  Ella attended rural school in Dist. 53.  She was united in marriage with Floyd Norman September 6, 1933 at Havelock Lutheran Church.  They made their home in rural Montevideo before she moved into town in 1997.  She had been a resident at Luther Haven Nursing Home the past two years.  Ella was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Havelock and active in the Ladies Aid.  She enjoyed doing hand-work, sewing, embroidery, working with artificial flowers, and making quilts and dresses.

She is survived by three children: Dwain Norman and his wife Bernice of Montevideo, MN, Janice Olson and her husband Wayne of Isle, MN, and Lloyd Norman and his wife Carol of Montevideo, MN; six grandchildren: Todd (Jill) Norman, Troy (Stacy) Olson, Sherri (Keith) Holmes, Kim (Lynette) Norman, Jeff Norman and Corey Moseng; one step-granddaughter, Barbara (Denny) Hanson; six great-grandchildren: Lindsae and Kelsey Norman, Jake and Nicholas Olson, and Abby and Garrett Holmes; one sister, Lydia Teichert; several nieces and nephews; and a special care giver, Arlene Norman.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Floyd; one son, Donald; four brothers: Alfred, Erick, Edwin, and Arthur Wohlschlager; and two sisters: Erna Eisenlohr and Esther Morlock
