Ella Wolff, of Montevideo, died on Thursday May 23, 1996 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 86.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday May 26, 1996 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Johns Lutheran Church of rural Montevideo with Rev. Richard Hamlow officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Saturday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Ella Lilly Augusta (Weckwerth) Wolff was born on August 4, 1909 in Montevideo, MN to Julius and Lilly (Spletter) Weckwerth. She was baptized on September 12, 1909 and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church on October 26, 1924. She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1928. She was united in marriage to Ervin Wolff on October 17, 1945 at the St. Johns Lutheran Parsonage. She worked as a clerk at Montgomery Wards for about 14 years. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and was active in it's choir, was a Sunday School Teacher, and was active in Ladies Aid. She was currently a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.
She is survived by a daughter Jeanne Richards and her husband Richard J. of Morris, MN; by a son - John Wolff and his wife Gaetana of Tucson, AZ; 4 grandchildren; and by a sister - Mabel Weckwerth of Montevideo, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Ervin in 1983.
