Ellen Bosch, formerly of Grace Twp, died on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Valin Assisted Living in Montevideo at the age of 94. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Gwen Bohlke officiating. Burial will be in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening with the family present from 5 - 7 P.M. and with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Ellen Marie (Lee) Bosch was born on May 11, 1915 in St. Paul, MN to John and Anna (Halaas) Lee. She grew up in Louriston Township and moved with her family to Grace Township in 1927. She attended and was confirmed at Buffalo Lake Lutheran Church and attended school in District 10. On February 6, 1935 she was united in marriage to Bernard Bosch in Grace Township of Chippewa County, MN. They lived and farmed in Grace Township until moving to Montevideo in 1994. She moved to Clara City in 1997 and moved to Brookside Manor in Montevideo in 2000. She has been a resident of the Valin Assisted Living in Montevideo for the past 2 � years. She was an active member of Rosewood United Methodist Church for many years, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer of the Congregation for many years and was active in the United Methodist Women. She was currently a member of the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Her many activities included Birthday Club, CI Club, Homemakers, TOPS, was a 4H leader and managed the 4H food stand at the county fair for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking, ceramics, needlepoint, crafts, making clowns, doing jigsaw puzzles, traveling and wintering in Texas for many years. She is survived by two sons: Norman Bosch and his wife Wilma of Montevideo and Douglas Bosch and his wife Barbara of Montevideo; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; one son-in-law, Ronald Stevens of Montevideo; two sisters: Bertha Tjosaas and Jennie Claussen, both of Benson, MN; a brother, Albert Lee of Coos Bay, OR; two sisters-in-law, Angie Lee of Benson and Edith Lee of Minneapolis, MN, as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bernard in 1999; a daughter, Joyce Stevens and a granddaughter, Janell Johnk, both in 1998; three brothers: Melvin, Joseph and Joel Lee and a sister, Agnes Barrett.
