Ellen Gustafson, 81, of Maynard died March 24, 1993 at the Clara City Nursing Home in Clara City.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 29 at 10:30 A.M. at the Maynard Baptist Church. Rev. James Scott will officiate and interment will be at Leenthrop Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon and evening and with the family present from 7-8:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before services on Monday.
Ellen Gertrude Anderson was born March 23, 1912 at Long Prairie, MN the daughter of Andrew and Amanda (Peterson) Anderson. She attended school and grew to adulthood there. Ellen received her Normal Teacher's Training at St. Cloud and later taught school at Kensington, Miltona, and Maynard. She was united in marriage August 31, 1947 with Orville Gustafson at Long Prairie. They made their home in the Maynard area. Orville died December 20, 1984. Ellen moved to the Clara City Nursing Home in January of 1993.
She is survived by four sons: Claire and his wife Patte of Auberry, CA, Alan and his wife Beverly of Eden Prairie, MN, Owen and his wife Marla of Maynard, MN, and Philip and his wife Saundra of Maynard, MN; 10 grandchildren: Brande, Shannon, Kathryn, Rebekah, Karie, Kyle, David, Jodi, Michael, and Melissa; and one sister Alice Moberg of Worthington, MN.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Orville; one granddaughter, Kelly; three brothers: Harold, Art, and Paul; and two sisters: Agnes and Hazel.
