Ellen Louise Momeny

Ellen Momeny, 84, of Montevideo died January 30, 2001 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 2, 2001 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo.  Rev. Paul Woolverton will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in the spring.

Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before services on Friday.

Ellen Louise Momeny was born June 15, 1916 at Montevideo, MN the daughter of Leonard and Helen (Beetum) Momeny.  She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1934 and later attended cosmetology school in Minneapolis.  Ellen was a certified cosmetologist and worked at the Deluxe Beauty Salon for many years.  She also worked at the Beauty Shop at Brookside Manor and she waitressed at Trailways.  Ellen was an active member of Business and Professional Women in Montevideo.

She is survived by one son, David Momeny and his wife Terry of Indianapolis, IN; two grandsons: Nicholas (Marlene) Momeny and Tracy Walstad; and one great-grandson, Marcellas.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one grandson, Dion Momeny.
