Elmer Tiffany, formerly of Montevideo, died on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at The Wellstead of Rogers in Rogers, MN at the age of 86.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Marie Eckberg officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo. Visitation will be from 12:30 until the time of services on Wednesday at the church.

Elmer Harvey Tiffany was born on November 1, 1927 in Danvers, MN the son of Homer and Dorothy (Wade) Tiffany. He grew up and went to school in the Benson, MN area. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from February 27, 1946 until his discharge December 18, 1946. On January 31, 1953, he was united in marriage to Delores Lupinek at the Methodist parsonage in Summit, SD. They lived in Peever and Bath, SD, Benson, MN, Edgeley, ND, and Glencoe, Watson, and Montevideo, MN, working as a Depot Agent for the Milwaukee Road. He later lived in Tyler, MN. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, dancing, playing cards, playing pool, traveling and going to rummage sales.

He is survived by four children: Randy Tiffany and his wife Rita of Milan, MN; Laurie Olson and her husband Loren of Carlos, MN; Terry Tiffany of Mankato, MN; and Sandra Tiffany and her husband David Barnish of Ramsey, MN; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Delbert Tiffany of Paynesville, MN; three sisters: Mae Staton of Willmar; Loretta (and Clarence) Becker of Mankato, MN and Joyce Weber of Watertown, SD; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Delores in 1999; a granddaughter: Patricia Ward; three sisters: Tootsie, Florence and Margarite; and a brother, Leonard Tiffany.
